Hello I'm Wizard, I'm named after a fishing vessel which stars on Discovery's Deadliest catch programme. I've been here with Tango and all my other friends since I was an egg and am very fond of Mam & Dad. Baby Barn Owls are quite ugly and give no idea of how beautiful they become as adults. Recently I have stepped into Whispers shoes a little as he is busy with pepper! I've flown wedding rings down the aisle to the best man and delivered a proposal! I stand approximately 25cm when fully standing up, Yes I do have hidden long legs! Barn Owl are found in virtually all habitats but much more abundantly in open woodland, heaths and moors. We are found on all continents (except Antarctica) throughout most of Britain and Europe and across many parts of Asia, Africa, and in much of North America. In South America we are found in areas of suitable grassland, as well as on oceanic islands such as the Galapagos. Barn Owls specialise in hunting small ground mammals, and the vast majority of our food consists of small rodents. We use low perches such as fence posts when hunting.
